While we were up in Pinetop to visit grandma and grandpa we decided to head out in the fall weather and get some pumpkins, so we looked in the local newspaper and found a pumpkin patch about 45 min away and decided to head out. We planned our day around naps in the car, lunch, and getting home in time for dinner and it was all going according to plan until.... we get there and instead of the hours in the paper 10- 3, its 3- 10, ummmm ooops! So i drive around pretty bummed, crying kids, start speeding down the road back home and out my window i see just a beautiful place. We spun around and parked and decided to take a little hike around this awesome river bed/creek place and see what we could find. We ended up spending an hour checking out the trees, running in the grass, playing with sticks and just being. It actually saved our day.... we ended up wasting enough time to get to the pumpkin patch right when they opened and having a blast. a great lesson on going with the flow... enjoying what you have and being in the moment,. a beautiful day with my family.
